JANÁČEK IN PERSONA (2019)

for 2 Violins, Viola, Cello, Piano, and an Actor

DESCRIPTION

Leos Janacek, a Czech composer who endured copious amounts of prejudice and tragedy through the greater years of his life, did not find success until well into his sixties. What kept his hope and drive alive through those long years of neglect? It was his firm belief that his music, whatever its success, was contributing to the growth of slavonic culture at large — a nation without borders.
